On the PlaneWhen I was taking this picture, it was the time after 8 hours of sleeping on the air plane, I have entered the American territorial airspace. Peering through the small cabin panes, I was amused by the gorgeous scene of sun raise, which was rare to see in Beijing. At that time, it was hard for me imagine that such a beautiful scenery is going to appear daily in my two-years life in US. Also, it was hardly to imagine there is a huge gap between US and China from environmental perspectives. Rewinding from now, a question raises to me that, how is it possible to keep the balance between both blooming economic and friendly environment for the developing country like China. And what can we do better as a country to build such natural environment?

Daily Life in US
Besides the dealing with heavy stress in school and intensive training in the swimming pool( I am one of student athletes in the Cal swimming team), one of my biggest hobbies is camping. During my early years in China( when we still living under the clean air), I always go out with my whole family when the weather looks good. But in most recent years, due to the heavy pollution, I hardly have any chance to pack our bag, camp among the mountains. But in the US, it is hard for me to stay in my room every single week because of the beautiful views and California sunshine. The smog and haze (which I mentioned in the pervious page "MY TRiP IN CHINA") are seem like perpetually disappeared in these places. Comparing to the vision-blocking air quality, it is possible to glance through hundreds of miles. When the panorama below, valleys, cities, and patchwork of fields among the bay, stretched for miles under my sight, I couldn't help to praise the greatness of nature. I felt sorry for careless of the nature environment in China. Because of such irresponsible of disregarding the importance of environment, millions people are unable to understand such magnificent scenery; moreover, it also destroyed their health condition at same time.
Campus Daily View
I am so glad that I have obtained a opportunity to attend UC Berkeley, one of the best academic universities in the world. When I first arrived to Berkeley, I instantly fall in love with the daily view in the campus. Those pictures above were took from the beginning of the first semester, when I was amazed by faint yellow light at dawn, and the bloody sunset at dusk. However, it is sad when I looking back to my childhood, I can hardly count out the time when I was attracted by the street scenery. But after a month. I started to realize that those scenes are ought to happen in every single day. Then, I stopped taking pictures, and starting to enjoying my life in Berkeley because I know for sure that those amazing scenery are never going to disappear. My confident results from the enthusiastic participation and those effective solutions which come from the US government and countless organizations. I really hope my country can have more people like them who realized such serious environmental problem and willing to make a change. When majority of the citizen in China want to make their country a better place, I believe that sooner or later there is going to be more people on the street, slowing down their footsteps, recording the amazing street scenes on their phone as they are looking up to the sky!
